Beautiful automobiles that incorporate race inspired power and function are hallmarks of a Leonard Lopez design by Dominator. Member of the Grand Nationals Roadster Show Hall of Fame and recipient of the Grand National Roadster Show Builder of the Year Award, Leonard has established a reputation as one of the top designers and builders in the nation. Dominator's creations are consistent national show winners and have been featured in many national publications. More than a stunning piece of automotive art, every Dominator built car delivers heart pounding horsepower and impeccable handling.
Shop Manager Tyler Jones keeps everything running smoothly while balancing his fabrication duties which include special focus on headers. Tyler inherited his passion for cars early, completing his first build with his dad at 16. His favorite part of the process at Dominator is witnessing the client's reaction to their completed creations.
Even Master Fabricator falls short of describing Paul Blatt. More to the point would be Automotive Metal Sculptor. He developed a love for customizing cars when he was young, building award winning “over the top” model kits. Paul has worked for a number of the area's top hot rod builders over the years and had his own shop for 15 years before joining Dominator. Paul's great joy is "creating cars that move even when they're standing still”.
Fabricator Howard Hoffman found an outlet for his artistic abilities in customizing cars. At six years old he was already out in the shop working on projects with his father. Sculpting in sheet metal is his favorite part of the job. If someone else would just clean up, things would be perfect! Howard especially appreciates the atmosphere at Dominator: a creative team not driven by ego.
Fabricator/Mechanic Darren Lemson comes to Dominator with over 25 years of experience at auto dealers as a GM Certified Mechanic. He is a self-described “GM Guy” who's current hot rod is a '69 Camaro, but he admits to having always loved Corvettes. Reading his buddy's hot rod magazines as a kid got him hooked and he's been working on cars ever since. Darren finds Dominator a great place to work with laid back atmosphere, talented bunch of guys willing to share their knowledge and “just make it right” for a bottom line. When he's not working on cars you'll find Darren camping and water skiing.
Fabricator Daryl Dickerson's current areas of expertise are chassis and suspension while electrical systems and metal working are on the list of areas where he would like to get more involved. His off time finds him modifying four wheel drive vehicles including his Chevy Blazer and a '36 International. Daryl's philosophy is: “Don't focus so much on going fast but rather be really obsessed with the details that make it work right and look great.” It's a philosophy that will serve him well at Dominator.
Jordon Machado graduated from art school to become a tattoo artist. While he perfected his art, Jordon continued to go to school for auto body repair where he specialized in fabrication and metalwork. On the side, he was an airplane mechanic; working on massive radial motors but his heart belonged to land based vehicles. His passion for excellence pushed him to attend classes held by Gene Winfield and Ron Covell. Jordon has worked at some of northern California's premiere auto body repair shops, but prefers the family atmosphere at Dominator because he says it encourages his creativity.
Jordon likes to "Make something out of nothing".
Robert "Bob" Brancato Jr. bought his first car when he was 10, and comes from a hot rod custom car family. He grew up in '32 Fords and '55 Chevy's and it was always his job to get the cars cleaned, detailed and prepared for shows. Robert's passion is in paint prep and detailing because of his attention to perfection. Because cars have played such an integral role in Robert's life and family, he truly appreciates the attitude and camaraderie of the Dominator team.
"Cars are in my blood"
